The purpose of NextGen Leaders is to inspire and equip the next generation of socially responsible leaders to create a future that they can be proud of, supported by experienced leaders from all walks of life who share their vision.
NextGen Leaders is the Northeast affiliate of the PeaceJam Foundation, which was nominated for the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize. We believe that the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureates, combined with the education and action components of PeaceJam education programs serve as a catalyst for a new generation of young leaders to commit to personal change, and being a force for change in their communities and the world.
Founded in 2006, our PeaceJam programs and youth conferences have touched the lives of over 2,000 young people in over 100 urban, suburban, and rural locations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont, who have joined over half a million others in a 14-year old international youth peace movement.
